There is a longstanding urban legend that there is a colony of chickens living around the Hollywood freeway on the Vineland offramp. The topic even has its own wiki page. I’ve heard enough urban legends that this set off some led deep in my brain that this could be proven or disproven by looking for them. If I find them, its true, and if I dont, its an urban legend that may have been true in the past, but isnt now. After parking, I found my first problem: the wild areas are broken into four grassy areas, and all were fenced off. Not all the areas were visible from ground level, and although I didn’t find any, this didnt prove or disprove anything, and I would have to come back with a drone to survey the area from above.
